Appeal after man's ear bitten off near cemetery

A man was left with serious injuries, which included a portion of his ear being bitten off, after he was assaulted by a group of five or six people near a cemetery.

West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened on Friday at about 17:45 BST near St Leonard's Church cemetery in Malinslee, Telford, in Shropshire.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
