Duckling family march to safety at Hardwick Hall

A family of ducks are leaving their hotel home and moving to a more permanent residency.

The annual duck march has become a tradition at Sedgefield’s Hardwick Hall Hotel over the past 24 years, with adults and their chicks moving to a nearby lake.

General manager Tim Boyd says they needed “many staff ” to ensure the family had “a safe route down”.

The ducks arrived at their new home on Friday afternoon.
