Northampton sign Fleetwood midfielder Shaw

Liam Shaw made his debut for Celtic in the Europa League

Northampton Town have completed the g of midfielder Liam Shaw from Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old only ed Fleetwood in October having been released by Celtic in the summer.

Shaw, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, spent last season on loan with Wigan Athletic where he made 26 appearances without scoring a goal.

He cost Celtic £300,000 from Sheffield Wednesday in 2021 and made his debut in a Europa League tie against Real Betis.

He has also spent time with Chesterfield, Motherwell and Morecambe during his career and becomes Kevin Nolan's first g since he took over as Northampton manager last month.
