So our Super Bowl match-up is set and for the second time in three years it'll be the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Philadelphia Eagles for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

The Chiefs, of course, are going for an unprecedented third Super Bowl victory in a row, while the Eagles will be thirsty for revenge after losing a thriller in Arizona last time.

Patrick Mahomes and his Chiefs are the kings of winning close games, but in Saquon Barkley Philadelphia have possibly the biggest x-factor in the entire NFL - and as he showed tonight he can take a game away from you in a heartbeat.

It'll be a fascinating, intriguing battle and, since the Chiefs are involved, it'll no doubt go down to the wire.

Super Bowl 59 will take place on 9 February (kick-off 23:30 GMT) in New Orleans at the Superdome, which has hosted more Super Bowls than any other stadium (seven).

It will be the first time since 2013 that the game has been played in New Orleans and the 11th overall - a t record with Miami.

Super Bowl 59 will be available to watch live on ITV1, Sky Sports and DAZN. Fox will be the host broadcaster this year in the US.

Super Bowl 59 will kick-off at 23:30 GMT on Sunday, 9 February.

The Super Bowl typically lasts between three and four hours, followed by the post-match ceremony, where the winner is awarded the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Super Bowl 59's half-time show will be headlined by American rapper, Kendrick Lamar.

Lamar, 37, has won 17 Grammy Awards along with several other honours from the music industry.

Rumours are circulating about artists that may make guest appearances during his set and, so far, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter SZA is the only other confirmed act.

So we've got a Super Bowl rematch from a couple of years ago after the Philadelphia Eagles ran all over the Washington Commanders and the Kansas City Chiefs do what they do better than anyone else and win big games (and beat the Buffalo Bills.

That means the chase for history and the three-peat will go right down to the final game, while a fiery Eagles side will get their chance for revenge.

An eighth game-winning drive of the season for Patrick Mahomes, a 12th one-score win for the Chiefs this season - there's just nobody better at finding ways to win when it matters most.

In the ultimate team sport though Mahomes is something special - he's got the chance to win his fourth Super Bowl aged just 29. If he was to manage that, then Tom Brady's record will be in serious danger.

I think Josh Allen and this Bills group are still very much elite and will have something to say in the near future. Some are sick of them, but the Kansas City Chiefs just don't care as they progress to a fifth Super Bowl in six years - nobody has ever had a run like this in NFL history.

No back-to-back winner has even managed to get to a Super Bowl to attempt three in a row, but Patrick Mahomes and company will bid for history in New Orleans in a couple of weeks.

And say what you want about them, but these Chiefs always rise to the occasion, the big plays in the big moments they're always there, ready, prepared and execute more often than not.

Championship DNA they call it - and the Chiefs have it.

Any team that is going against the Chiefs has to have almost the perfect game and the Bills just came up short in this particular moment and that's unfortunate but the Chiefs sealed the deal.

It comes down to which defence is going to make those big plays. Kansas City's defence have been there, they have won Championships, they showed up.
