I am not sure Manchester United's players are that happy to be here in the first place.

    Even less so now.

Jim Thwaites has surely just denied ASEAN All-Stars the chance to grab a second.

The hosts break and it's two v two.

Adrian Segecic, who laid on the assist for the opener, was set to pull the trigger until Thwaites recovered with a goal-saving challenge.

We're into the fourth minute of additional time and the referee is more than happy for the ball to be bounced around midfield with no real intent.

    Is this necessary?

Ruben Amorim said yesterday Manchester United were making a fresh start today.

He will probably be revising those words after this match.

United chief executive Omar Berrada spoke to MUTV ahead of the game.

This is part of what he said.

"Ruben is right - the past is in the past," he said.

"It's important to learn and now we need to stay together, stay united.

"I can only say again thanks to the fans and the owners have also been very ive in this transition year.

"Now we need to work really hard to do everything we can to bring the club back to the top.

"I'm very excited by what is coming ahead of us. Like Ruben said, now we just need to work really hard, as a unit and as a club, and I'm sure the good days will be back, as he said."

Manchester United could still force penalties here if they can grab an equaliser in the time that remains - two minutes of regulation and whatever is added on.

I don't know how long the ASEAN All-Stars had to train and prepare for this game but as a team assembled of players from 10 different nations, they are working incredibly well as a unit.

They are set in a strong defensive shape and not allowing Manchester United room to play through them.

The ers had just given a rendition of 'Glory, Glory Man Utd' when their cheering was cut short by a really well taken goal from Maung Maung Lwin.

Lwin comes from Myanmar and currently plays in the Thai league.

I know this is a post-season match but that wasn't part of the script.

Just over 72,000 here by the way.
