Luther James-Wildin signed a new contract for Stevenage in the week and gets to celebrate it by making an EFL club record 267th appearance for the side.

Captain Carl Piergianni also marks his 150th appearance for the side.

Usual keeper Murphy Cooper misses out with illness so in comes Taye Ashby-Hammond to take his place, who is ed by Dan Butler and Jamie Reid.

Is this to be the year Bradford City finally escape the grasp of League Two?

Graham Alexander has certainly got them motoring since New Year's Day as they have jumped from ninth place to the summit - overhauling Walsall's 17-point advantage over them in the process.

All this has come without their talisman Andy Cook who had notched 12 goals before injury curtailed his season, strangely enough also on 1 January.

The likes of Calum Kavanagh and Bobby Pointon have gamely filled the void and there is a three-point cushion now to fourth-placed Doncaster.

As spectacular as Bradford's rise has been, Swindon's about-turn in fortunes has also been startling since the bells rang in 2025.

At that moment the Robins were just four points clear of the trapdoor to non-league football with fans not only disenchanted by on-field matters but also with their ownership.

With the warmer weather has come the relief of now sitting a whopping 18 points above the relegation zone and with boss Ian Holloway g a new contract they have lost only one of their past nine league games.

This is an obstacle Bradford might not find easy to swerve.

Such is the nature of the League Two promotion race you could make a case for any of the top seven taking one of the three automatic places on offer but let's stick with the first five for now shall we?

Notts County's slip at home to Salford last night means they'll need some help today and something will have to give in South Yorkshire.

While those around them have been stumbling and stalling, Doncaster are unbeaten in their past five games and have their highest points total at this stage of a season since they were promoted in 2017.

Speaking of stumbling and stalling, AFC Wimbledon have chosen the wrong time to take a dip in form with just three wins from their past 10 games but they are looking for a first EFL double over Rovers.

The Dons have been boosted this week with their top scorer Matty Stevens g a new contract and they will need him to keep firing for the remaining five matches at least.

There will be plenty of twists and turns to come with Doncaster facing Bradford and Notts County in their final two games and AFC Wimbledon up against Port Vale and Grimsby - the stakes today have rarely been higher for these two.

It's difficult to know where to look in League Two today with so much at stake at the top and bottom.

Defeat for Carlisle in their titanic game at Morecambe would leave them hanging on by their fingertips while a win for the Shrimps would keep them on the tails of Accrington and Tranmere who also face-off against each other.

With Doncaster, AFC Wimbledon and Bradford all in action at 12:30 (BST) they can heap more pressure on Walsall before their trip to Barrow.

We haven't even started on the play-off shake-up but I may need to lay down before we get to that point!

Wycombe Wanderers eked out a vital win when Daniel Udoh's second-half strike saw them claim victory against play-off chasing Huddersfield.

But they will know it's not enough. For weeks, they sat in an automatic promotion spot until some stumbles saw them displaced by Wrexham.

But today, they have the opportunity to get back to where they feel they belong.

They'll need to claim all three points against Stevenage and hope Wrexham lose at Wigan to reclaim second place on goal difference, and deliver the gut-wrenching punch the Welsh side delivered to them not so long ago.

But fail where the Red Dragons succeed and the prospect of a play-off campaign in May will be putting lumps in the back of Chairboys ers' throats.

The season is coming to its end and the pressure is mounting for the Red Dragons. But will it tell?

Wrexham are aiming for their third successive promotion but are just three points ahead of rivals Wycombe to ensure they don't need to go through the perils of the play-offs to get there.

As for the title, well, it's all but Birmingham's at this point but with Blues already bound for the Championship and gunning for the Vertu Trophy tomorrow afternoon, the Welsh side can steal away a possible triple celebration in the West Midlands should they win today.

Lose and the title is Blues'.

However, Wrexham's opponents will be just as desperate for a victory, winless in five and starting to enter dangerous territory with the relegation zone just seven points behind them.

The battle for second place could take a major turn today with both Wrexham and Wycombe involved in the lunchtime games and three points separating them.

If Wrexham fail to win then Birmingham, who are involved in the Vertu Trophy final tomorrow, will be crowned champions.

Defeat for Shrewsbury at Lincoln will see them relegated although a win for Bristol Rovers over Exeter would condemn the Shrews to the drop anyway.

There is so much at stake at this stage of the season the teams involved in the early games have a chance to put pressure on those playing later.

Oh... what a Saturday we have for you!

With Birmingham already booking their slot in the Championship thanks to their midweek win over Peterborough, it's now the turn of Wrexham to stop the West Midlands side from also claiming the title in the same week.

The Red Dragons face Wigan to keep their dimly lit title hopes alive, while Shrewsbury take on Lincoln City in order to escape an early exit from League One.

As for the fourth tier, it's just as tasty as ever.

Both Port Vale and Walsall called themselves league leaders last week before Bradford City went and stole it all away.

Both sides can take it back this afternoon, with the Valiants hosting Bromley and Walsall visiting Barrow - if the Bantams slip up at Swindon.

All this and we've hardly scratched the surface.
