On his hat-trick: "I bowled five slower balls, I backed them not to time it and I thought I bowled well. A few of the boys on the bench backed me to go pace on, but I didn't want to be greedy, I was thinking more about dot ball."

On James Vince, who missed the game with illness: "He is locked up in his room, he spent all day yesterday in bed and spent today in bed as well. Hopefully he is able to come back to Southampton with us."

"We've had a bit of an up and down start and the rained off game at the start didn't help.

"It was a pretty good win, a pretty emphatic win and boys will take lots of confidence from that."

On net run-rate: "We recognised it a little bit when we were out there, we just wanted to knock it off as quick as we can with the weather as well."

On how he's enjoying his time at Southern Brave: "It's really good, the boys have been really welcoming. It's been good."

Southern Brave started the game in sixth place, but have moved up to third with that victory.

They have climbed above Welsh Fire too.

They've also had a massive net run-rate boost, with it improving by -1.039. That could be crucial as the group stages progress over the next 12 days or so.

Since Southern Brave removed Jonny Bairstow from the seventh ball they've never looked back.

They have completely and utterly dominated Welsh Fire.
